I AM THAT

I Am ThatI am that. But what is that?Is it silence, or is it sound? Is it emptiness, or fullness unbound?I lean toward being nothing, for in nothingness there is peace.Yet in the dance of metaphors,I am everything—for all that destiny has gifted meis stitched into the fabric of my being. This “I” cannot be measured, nor carved into a definition.Only my thoughts, words, and deedsdraw the outlines of whatmy truest self may be.I am no heir of royal line,no inheritor of glittering wealth,no child of dynasty or fame.I am simply a presence, receiving as much as I give, walking where life leads me.But when this fragile body falls, all shall be left behind—not family, not friends, not lover, not gold.Only the soul departs, silent and solitary, wandering toward the infinite,to merge with the Supreme,or to wear once morethe garments of birth and death. How many times must I be reborn? No one can count, for the wheel of karma turnswith perfect balance, impartial, incorruptible. No hand from outsidecan bend its axis,no prayer can bribe its justice. Each must walk their own circle, each must taste their own fruit.Blame cannot shield us.Complaints cannot erase the seeds we sow.Deceptions cannot undo the truth. The laws of nature wait in silence,unchanging,ever-patient,until we see—that what binds usis only what we ourselves have woven. So I am that—not this body, not these fleeting roles, but the soul in motion, the witness of eternity, the seeker and the sought.
